Minimum Education:
    •BSc, BCom or BTech in Computer Science, Software
    •Engineering,Information Technology or related technology discipline.
    •BA – FTI Diploma
    •Business Process Re-engineering certification / Qualification preferable
    •Expert knowledge of the BABOK.

Required Experience:
•7 years + as a Business Analyst with extensive experience on multiple software development projects.
•Preferably in a banking, insurance & telecoms industry with a working knowledge of collections activities, processes and strategies.
5 years + experience in the formulation of use case narratives and user stories
•5 years + working experience with modelling languages such as UML, BPMN and IDEF0.
•5 years’ experience of business process re-engineering (LEAN, SIX SIGMA)
•Experience in SDLC methodologies such AGILE (SCRUM), Scaled AGILE, DAD, RUP , Waterfall
Role Overview:
The successful individual, comfortable in engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization recognizes the art of facilitation as one of the key skills of a business analyst and passionately lives the belief that technology not just enables business, but will increasingly become one of the key drivers of successful 21st century businesses .
Prioritization of requirements, and the documentation thereof in a manner that is comprehensive enough to reflect understanding of business requirements while at the same time concise enough to be used as input into architecture and design decisions, while assisting in the formulation of test cases are skills that greatly enhance the analysis experience.
Significant experience in iterative methodologies could well be the deal clincher.
Responsibilities:
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
•Facilitate discussion with business stakeholders to identify Business needs / opportunities
•Compile business cases and where needed trace the benefit realisation
•Able to translate business strategy into required delivery framework (e.g. value chain process framework)
•Stakeholder management across all levels of the customer organisation. Manages or sets the stakeholder or project rules of engagement
•Able to manage stakeholder expectations in terms of delivery and changes

SCOPE MANAGEMENT
•Ability to facilitate scope definition with multiple stakeholders.
•Able to translate business strategy into required delivery framework (e.g. value chain process framework)
•Ability to document scope in the most appropriate format for the client.
•Ability to define analysis scope and approach.
•Ability to document changes to scope and to articulate scope change impact in terms of time, cost and quality.

REQUIREMENTS GATHERING
•Ability to conduct a gap analysis between the process and system requirements and the current process and system environment and to define the priorities for change.
•Ability to successfully implement business process change measurements.
•Ability to elicit requirements with multiple stakeholders of varying levels using additional methods e.g. brainstorming, surveys
•Workshop facilitation: Conduct JAD Sessions, group workshops or one- on- one interviews
•Questions and challenges to ensure appropriate problem definition
•Elicit analyse, communicate and validate requirements
Conduct systems, processes, risk and root cause analysis
•Formulate specification artefacts (URS, BRS, Functional, Non Functional Specifications) that are in alignment with business strategy and that are comprehensive enough for user signoff, yet concise enough for input into the solution architecture and design disciplines.

PLANNING
•Can size the BA deliverables and identify the type of resource(s) required.
•Can plan for a team of business analysts of varying skill level.
•Manages the analysis delivery for an analyst team (this includes being able to mentor team members)

QUALITY ASSURANCE
•Manage BA teams and ensure quality of deliverables
•Provide input in test case strategy,
•Assist in the formulation of test cases and
•Participate user acceptance testing where required

USER TRAINING AND DOCUMENTATION
•Provide basic training to system end users where required
•Provide information and assist in creation of training material
•Provide mentoring and training to business analysts where required
